HOW TO CONNECT TO THE EXTENDER’S WI-FI NETWORK
- On your PC or mobile device, open the Wi-Fi connections that manage wireless connections. The Wi-Fi connection manager will search for Wi-Fi networks in your area.
2. Find and select the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) of the extender range and enter the Wi-Fi password for it. This is the SSID and password you set during the login process.
WPS Connection
If you need help to connect your device with WPS, see the instructions that came with said device. Some older computers may not use WPS. To connect to the extender using a WPS connection:
- Please turn it on by pressing the WPS button on the extender.
- Within two minutes, press the WPS button on the device with WPS. When you successfully connect the extender to the WPS device, the WPS indicator shows a blue light.
- Log in to access the extender settings. After installation, you can log in to the extender to view or change its settings.
HOW TO LOG IN TO THE EXTENDER
1. Open a web browser on a computer or mobile device connected to the extender’s network.
2. Log in to the extender:
- If you have not configured the Wi-Fi network name feature, type “www.mywifiext.net” in the browser’s address field to do it.
- If the single Wi-Fi network name function has been enabled, enter one of the following URLs:
– For Windows-based computer, use http: // mywifiext
– Mac computers and iOS devices: http: //mywifiext.local
– Android devices. http: // <IP address of the extender range> (for example http://192.168.1.3)
- To find the IP address of the extender, do the following next:
- Log in to the router.
- Look for the page on the router’s web interface that displays a list of devices connected to the router.
- Find your extender on the list and write down your IP address.
- Enter the extender’s IP address in the address field of the web browser. The login page will open.
3. Enter your administrator name and password, and then click the login button. The status page will be displayed.
HOW TO CHANGE THE WI-FI SETTINGS OF THE RANGE EXTENDER
If you have enabled the single Wi-Fi network name feature, you will not change the Wi-Fi network settings from the extender’s web interface rank. You will need to log in to the router to change the Wi-Fi network settings.
If you have not enabled the single Wi-Fi network name feature, you can change the extender’s Wi-Fi configuration from the web interface itself of the range extender. To change the extender’s Wi-Fi settings:
- Open a web browser on a computer or mobile device connected to the extender’s network. Log in to the extender:
- If you did not enable the single Wi-Fi network name feature, type www.mywifiext.net in the browser’s address field.
- If the single Wi-Fi network name function has been enabled, enter one of the following URLs:
– Windows based computer. http: // mywifiext
– Mac computers and iOS devices: http: //mywifiext.local
– Android devices. http: // <IP address of the extender range> (for example http://192.168.1.3)
- The login page will open. If you don’t see the login page, see the login to access extender settings.
- Enter your administrator name and password, and then click the login button. The status page will be displayed. Select Settings> Wireless. The wireless setup page will appear.
- To change the Wi-Fi network name (SSID), enter a new name in the Network Name (SSID) field.
- To change the Wi-Fi password, enter a new password in the Wi-Fi Password field.
- Click the SAVE button. The settings are saved, and the setup is complete.
